Indoor air quality (IAQ) is a term that refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. IAQ can be affected by gases (including carbon monoxide, radon, and volatile organic compounds), particulates, microbial contaminants (mold, bacteria), or any mass or energy stressor that can induce adverse health conditions.

There are a number of ways to improve IAQ, including proper ventilation, filtration, and the use of air purifiers. Additionally, it is important to control the sources of pollutants in order to prevent them.

Get indoor air purifier with high CADR ratings, focus on removing smoke, dust, and pollen from the air; Change your furnace filter regularly – at least once every 3 months; Seal the ducts in your home to improve airflow and limit leaks; Reduce or eliminate the use of toxic chemicals and cleaning products; Add houseplants that help purify the air.
